Our 2017 Venues

Monday 4th September 2017 by Rick Chadwick in 2017

Our venue for Dot York 2017 is Central Methodist Church, a grade 2 listed building just a stones throw from York’s most iconic street, The Shambles.

Lunch, on us!

Since the last Dot York we’ve been venue shopping, trying to find a unique space that not only offered a comfortable and suitable conference venue but also somewhere where we could give you lunch.

The lunch-break has long been a sticking point for us. While York has plenty of foodie offerings we’ve felt bad sending you off to fend for yourselves and wanted to try and sort that out this year.

We’ve arranged a local, independent (and brilliant!) caterer to provide lunch at Dot York 2017. You don’t have to pay anything extra, it’s on us. We hope you enjoy the food and make the most of the extra time you can spend with your new Dot York friends!

Our evening venue

In the past, we’ve just said “we’ll be at this pub after the conference, if anyone wants to come”, not this year!

We’ve booked the tap room of local micro-brewery, Brew York—just a short walk from the conference venue. Starting from 7pm, this will be a chance to meet speakers, chat to your fellow attendees and enjoy some food, drink and entertainment.

Due to limited capacity, this will be a ticketed event. Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased separately when you buy your conference ticket. On the day, we’ll swap that ticket for a £10 food and drink voucher (which will get you at some food and at least one drink at the evening event).
