Dot York 2017 - Thanks!

Thursday 16th November 2017 by Rick Chadwick in 2017

We just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came, who supported and who got involved with Dot York this year. We thought it was the best yet and really hope to see you again in 2018!

Hewitt & Walker filmed and photographed Dot York for us this year. They’re based in York and very good at what they do.

The photos are on our flickr account. The videos are being edited right now and we’ll have them ready to share with you in the next few weeks.

Firstly, thank you to our speakers. For their promotion of the event, their full cooperation in getting things to us when we asked and for delivering a series of excellent talks.

Our change of venue was a bit of a gamble but we think it really paid off so thanks to Chris and the team at Central Methodist Church for letting us use their beautiful building and for Jonathan and his crew at Technical Stage Services for making everything work!

Returning for his third year was our host, Scott Hartop. He is exceptional at what he does and we can’t really imagine Dot York without him now.

Thanks to our event sponsors, Bytemark (supporting us since the start), Shopify (their 3rd year) and new sponsors Piksel and The Distance.

The University of York were our Education Partners, bringing along a bunch of students. Sticker Mule provided all our stickers & magnets (hope you got some!). Jack makes insurance a pain-free experience (they do business insurance, check them out) and we’ve already mentioned what a brilliant job Hewitt & Walker do!

Dot York partners Science City York (a part of Make it York), Garbutt & Elliott and United by Design deserve a special mention for providing us with their support throughout the year.

Lastly, thanks to everyone that came to Dot York this year. We hope you had a great day!
