Code of Conduct

Updated 2nd July 2018

We want DotYork events to be a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment for all.

This applies to everyone—organisers, speakers, attendees, volunteers, sponsors etc. if you can’t or won’t agree with the following code of conduct then, please, stay at home.

We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Sexual language, imagery and making people feel uncomfortable in a sexualised or non-sexualised manner is not appropriate anywhere, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event and future events without a refund at the discretion of the organisers.

If you have a problem, or have any concerns then you should contact an organiser or event member of staff immediately. All our staff will be wearing DotYork t-shirts and both male and female staff will be available throughout the day.

At DotYork 2018, there will be a green room to the side of the stage where you can always find a member of staff, or simply remove yourself from the conversation/situation.

Please, let’s just all get along.
